about

so, i found myself making this because a cast member for Boaty's Hamlet (becky) shared a post from the directer of this show (sarah) looking for a MD.
i messaged like, here's everything i've done recently, let me know, kay bye.
thinking like, nah, no way, never gonna happen.
got a message back from sarah like, hey you sound perfect, let's talk on the phone to confirm.
we did.
talked about how bad creative industries are, how there's no such thing as a big break, how you're really gotta graft if you want to get anywhere.
got the job.
and here's what i made.

it's been an intense two months.
the brief was, it's the 1950s, but it isn't, here's some monologues about grief, at some point someone will find a dead body in a sandpit.
and that turned into a hilarious, farcical, dumb play about overcoming loneliness through community.
everyone involved is amazing and welcoming.
falling doors theatre company are a good bunch and i'm so excited to work with them again.
thanks for bringing me on board sarah.

anyway, music.
